From mid-September to mid-October, deer come down at dusk into the meadow below the cottage. You can watch and hear them rutting from the terrace, without even taking the car: the most sought-after time of year.

The «In the Deer's Footsteps» trail
A marked loop starting right from the hamlet of Coué de Casse, through meadows and forest, along the deer's paths. Ideal at the end of the day to try to spot the wildlife.

The cottage carries the Fishing Accommodation label. The Ger flows at the foot of the hamlet; the Salat, the Garonne, the Job and the Arbas are all close by. Fishing licence available at the Aspet tourist office.

Portet d'Aspet and its Fabio Casartelli memorial, Col de Menté, Col de Buret: the Tour de France's legendary climbs start almost at the door. Cyclists come from afar to ride them.
